George was the youngest brother of my grandfather Joseph W. Tharp. He was born 1843 in Ross County, Ohio, served in the Civil War, and moved to Marshall Co., Indiana shortly thereafter to buy back his father's estate. He married Mary Hover there in 1867. This was his Marshall County home.
