Fire Commissioners Want New Engine Houses Erected

Request Board of Public Works to Have Plans Prepared at Once

The fire commissioners decided yesterday to request the board of works to prepare plans for the erection of two engine houses in Bush street near Kearny and at the corner of Sixteenth street and Albion avenue, for which $35,500 was available.

The action noted probably will force the appointment of a city architect as requested by the board of supervisors, although the board of works is not disposed to accede to the request, Newton Tharp probably will be appointed to the position.
