Death of Mrs. Graybeal
Mrs. Sarah Caroline Graybeal, wife of G.M. Graybeal, died at her home at Maxwell, Monday night, June 24 at 11 o'clock after a short illness.
The deceased was the daughter of Philander and Therese McCarter, she was born in Grayson county, Virginia January 3, 1850. She married Granville Monroe Graybeal in May 1870. She is survived by her husband and seven children: Mrs. H.R. Leonard of Norfolk, Mrs. B.L. Payne of Cedar Bluff, Mrs. Charles P. Harman, Mrs. Elsie Graybeal, Fields and Arthur Graybeal of Maxwell, and C.J. Graybeal of Nemours, W. Va.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. R.E. Greer of Kimball, W. Va. with interment in the family cemetery Wednesday afternoon.
Mrs. Graybeal was well known and highly esteemed by a large circle of friends. She was especially loved by the poor of her neighborhood for her many kind acts.
