Henry Martin Goodfellow, farmer, b. Apr 1850, New York, d. 24 Nov 1928 California. He was born in New York to Jannetje Van Patten and Moses Goodfellow. He
enlisted in the Union Army on November 19, 1861 in Clinton, New York as a private in Company I, 8th New York Cavalry. He returned to New York and in 1868 crossed the plains to California, settling in the
Williams Township Area taking up farming on a farm west of Williams. On July 2,
1872, he married Willie Belle Rice in Colusa, and they had two children; Mabel
Claire Goodfellow and Harry M. Goodfellow. He passed away at the age of 78 years and is
buried in the Williams Cemetery, New Section.
