Know all men by these presents that I George W. Tharp of the county of Ross, State of Ohio in consideration of the sum of One Thousand Dollars to him paid by James Little of the County of Ross, State of Ohio have bargained and sold and do hereby grant and convey unto the said James Little his heirs and assigns forever the following premises situate in the county of Ross in the state of Ohio and in the district of land subject in Chillicothe and State of Ohio and described as follows: to wit the one undivided fifth part of the South East quarter of Section number Thirty three (33) of township nine (T9) in range number thirty one, being part of the same lands conveyed by patent from the United States by letters patent to Frederick Overly dated 8th day of October A.D. 1805, and which patent is recorded in Records of Ross County, State of Ohio on the 4th December 1855 in book no 57 pages 535 & 536. To have and to hold said premises with the appurtenances unto the said James Little, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said George W. Tharp for himself and his heirs doth hereby covenant with said James Little his heirs and assigns that he lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid, that said premises are free and clear from all incumbrances whatsoever, and that he will forever warrant and defend the same with the appurtenances unto the said James Little his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever, the testimony whereof the said George W. Tharp has hereunto set his hand and seal this twenty third day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Sixty five.
