Obituary of Hugh Delos May

Hugh Delos May, 71, Walla Walla, died Tuesday night after an illness of some duration. He had lived in the state for more than 60 years and had spent the last 25 years in Walla Walla, mostly following farming.
He was federal employment agent here for several years, was engaged in the real estate business with Clarence Andrew, was president at one time of the Walla Walla Dairymen's association and a member of the farm loan board.
Born in Roseburg, Oregon, July 14, 1864, he went with his parents to rock Creek near Spokane when he was seven. The family moved soon to Dayton. Twenty-five years ago May moved to Walla Walla. He was married to Miss Ruby Eleanor Rowley, who survives, Roseburg, Oregon, January 9, 1908.
He is survived by his widow, Ruby Elenaor May, and the following children: Mrs. Nina Burnham, Lewiston, Mont.; Mrs. Grace McQuary, Anacortes; Mrs. Nita Shidler, Visalia, Calif.; Mrs. Mayme Spence, Walla Walla; Delbert May, Walla Walla; Mrs. Eleanor Hobson, Walla Walla, and Mrs. Helen Pemberton, Palouse, and by 18 grandchildren, also by the following sisters and brothers, Mrs. Roxy Young, Pullman; Mrs. Mary Hester, Clarkston; Mrs. Mack Blower, Portland; Mrs. Lena Harsch, Dayton, and T.E. May, Clarkston.
Funeral services are to be held Friday morning with burial at Dayton.
